Part artist, part entrepreneur, Keiko Mecheri is multi-cultural woman who was born in Japan, raised in California and studied art in Europe. While some of her scents are subtly evocative of her native Japanese Riviera, it is Keiko Mecheri’s love for Los Angeles and California with its sun-kissed climate, buzzing scene, laid-black lifestyle, diversity and lush surroundings, that really kindles her inspirations and aspirations.

Loukhoum is the notorious original. In 1998, Keiko Mecheri introduced her first fragrance, Loukhoum a crossroad of cultures that mirrored the couple’s globetrotting lifestyle and  medley of North American, the Orient, and Japanese roots. A marriage of delicacy, sweetness and opulence, obtained with candied rose petals, white almonds and ambery notes, it is inspired by the Turkish delight “rahat loukhoum.”

With its heady addictiveness, Loukhoum was an inspiring forerunner in the trend for gourmand notes.
