The Huntington Grove Luxury Shave Soap is completely handmade in Melbourne.

About the soap...

The shaving soap is made using the hot process soap making method to saponify the oils and at the end of the “cooking” procedure the raw soap is formed. The hot soap is poured out in a thin layer and is left to cool until the next day. Then the soap is cut up and passed into a handmade 4-tonne press to obtain the soap noodles. The noodles are then spread out in trays and left to dry and cure for a minimum of 1 month at a controlled temperature. When the soap is cured it is ready to be pressed into shape along with the essential oils in their pure form.

The result is a creamy, natural formula with macadamia oil honey and beeswax blended with the purest essential oils for a rich, luxurious shave and a soft, smooth skin feel. Suitable for all skin types.

Macadamia Oil: imparts emollience and smoothness. Contains anti-inflammatory monounsaturated fatty acids: omega 7 or palmitoleic acid, which is beneficial for wound healing, scratches and burns; moisturising oleic (omega 9) and linoleic (omega 6) acids which help the skin’s barrier function; and phytosterols that sooth redness, itchiness and irritation, making it effective for shave soap.

Honey: a humectant that gives the soap slip, helps it (and skin) to retain moisture. it also contains natural antioxidants and antimicrobial properties.

Beeswax: protective, helps form a barrier and cushion the skin against damage from the razor blade.

Pure Essential Oil Fragrance: a simple blend of essential oils selected to impart a subtle, uplifting but calming fragrance as well as skin benefits. Top note of mint, middle notes of lavender and tea tree, base note of cedar wood.

The 100g shaving soap refills last for approximately 5-6 months with daily use.

Every aspect of this brand is meticulously custom made by hand in Melbourne by creator Mark Bucci. Mark hopes that each individual will take their time and take a quiet, meditative moment to enjoy their shaving ritual before beginning their busy day.
