Quantity:

An unsigned antique European oil painting on canvas depicting an older violinist, his head inclined towards the instrument in a moment of quiet concentration.

Warm light falls across his face and hands, drawing out the sensitive modelling of his features and the rich amber tones of the violin. A softly worked olive-green background balances the deep browns of his clothing, giving the composition an intimate, contemplative atmosphere.

A characterful painting with a beautiful tonal palette and a substantial presence, offered unframed on its wooden stretcher.

Surface cracking, scattered paint losses and wear to the canvas edges, as shown.
