An eighteenth-century Swedish hanging candle chandelier with a turned wooden centre, five curved metal candle arms and a crown of flower-shaped metal reflectors.
Traces of painted colour remain on the timber, while the weathered metal flowers lend the piece a delicate, sculptural quality. The warmth of the wood and the sweeping lines of the arms give it a distinctive presence, even without candles.
The candle arms and floral reflectors are removable.
Condition: Aged timber, worn paint and surface rust to the metal, as shown in the photographs.
